Marsi Van Der Heuvel

Marsi van de Heuvel is a Cape Town based visual artist, painting and drawing with oils and ink. Since graduating from Ruth Prowse School of fine art, she has had solo exhibitions in Cape Town, Johannesburg and New York, as well as several group shows.

Her work is a demonstration of dedication, a practice of discipline and patience. The process is slow and meditative, consuming of time and self. The intention is to broaden perspectives of Who we are, and Where we are.

Marsi’s JAHRESGABE edition is a series of about 30 stellar constellations, drawn in finline ink on 15 × 15 cm paper.
